POBOS | Post-COVID-19 programme

Although a small number of cases are still being recorded, the COVID suffering now seems to be well and truly behind us.

Yet, for some, the step back to pre-March 2020 life and working conditions is difficult to take. Uncertainty and fear are feelings that can influence people in making decisions. Many of us have gone through a difficult period and this cannot be swept off the table just like that.

This is where POBOS, as the advisory centre for welfare, can be a suitable professional partner for you, your company, organisation or association and also for your employees.

Based on its 32 years of expertise, POBOS offers a 'post-COVID-19 programme' that can consist of the following elements.

Psycho-education

  • Unambiguous and clear information is often the first step towards understanding a situation or to better place a problem and negative experience. POBOS offers interesting documentation on its website. The 'POBOS Trauma Scan' and the 'POBOS Burnout Scan (Mental Health Check)' - two validated screening tools - can be completed freely and anonymously. Based on the score, additional professional support may be organised.
  • During the pandemic, POBOS recorded short, practical webinars that provide information and clarification on relevant topics. For example, your employees may experience anxiety and stress when implementing adapted work conditions or new arrangements in their daily functionality.

Individual counselling

  • Telephone counselling by an experienced POBOS-psychologist for employees who, for example, are confronted with a psychosocial problem and want to talk to a professional counsellor about it. Or a manager who needs support and advice when giving bad news (e.g. in case of dismissal or restructuring).
  • Telephone counselling by an experienced POBOS social worker, with whom the person concerned can share his/her psychosocial problems. These include financial problems, relationship problems, domestic violence, etc.
  • Individual psychotherapy sessions by appointment - sessions of one hour, via video call or face-to-face (in the private practice of the treating psychologist).

Guidance in group

  • Group video conference (teledebriefing) by appointment, for small groups (maximum 6 people).
  • Group meeting or debriefing 'on site' by appointment, for smaller (up to maximum 6 people) or larger groups. For larger groups, several psychologists can be appointed if necessary.
  • Permanent 'on site' presence of a clinical psychologist, so that employees on the work floor can receive the necessary individual or group support whenever they need it.

Above all, POBOS wants to be your partner in boosting and strengthening the psychosocial well-being of your employees after this COVID-19 pandemic. Our clinical psychologists and social workers will be happy to offer their expertise. So please do not hesitate to contact us.
